Helmsman closes at $96.75m for 2nd Fund……
16 Feb 09Helmsman announced the final close of Helmsman Capital Fund II raising A$96.75 million from Australian and New Zealand institutions. Major investors include Industry Funds Management, Wilshire Private Markets Group on behalf of 3 funds, Centric Wealth’s Distressed Asset Fund, Sovereign Investment Management’s NEPEM fund and Taranaki Investment Management (NZ).
Helmsman is building a solid track record as the leading Australian special situation fund targeting transactions in the A$5m - A$15m range after generating over 40% IRR returns in its first fund.
